How we got here

House of Movement began as a yoga-specific studio, rooted in the belief that movement could be a way to connect more deeply with ourselves — physically, mentally and emotionally.

What started with yoga

As our community grew and our understanding of movement evolved, so did we. What started with yoga expanded to include strength training, mobility, conditioning and other forms of intentional movement — not because we needed to become something different, but because we learned that no single modality provides everything the body needs.

House of Movement is a strength and movement studio dedicated to building resilient bodies through intentional training. By combining strength training, mobility, yoga, and movement education, we help improve stability, reduce pain, and support long-term physical health. Through breath, awareness, and purposeful movement, clients develop a deeper connection to their bodies that builds strength, balance, and resilience that carries into everyday life.

What the body needs

  • Strength

    builds capacity.

  • Yoga

    builds awareness and mobility.

  • Conditioning

    challenges the cardiovascular system.

  • Recovery

    lets us adapt.

Being able to move well through all of it is what makes fitness sustainable.

Today we primarily specialise in women's strength training and yoga, with a focus on understanding the way the body moves, feels, responds and develops. We're interested in more than getting stronger or more flexible. We want women to understand their bodies and feel capable in them.

At the center of everything is the breath

The breath is an anchor through movement. But its importance extends far beyond the mat or the workout — how we breathe can tell us a great deal about how we're experiencing stress, effort, discomfort, recovery, and the world around us. Learning to notice and work with the breath gives us another tool for understanding ourselves.
